Dr. S.A.I.P. Trines

Dr. S.A.I.P. (Serge) Trines is sinds 2007 cardioloog/elektrofysioloog in het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC) met als aandachtsgebied atriumfibrilleren.

In 2001 promoveerde hij in het Erasmus MC op het onderwerp "Stunned myocardium". In 2007 rondde hij zijn opleiding als cardioloog af en in 2008 de opleiding tot elektrofysioloog. Beide opleidingen volgde hij in het LUMC.

Sinds 2015 is hij lid van het Certification Committee van de European Heart Rhythm Association dat het jaarlijkse examen “Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology” maakt. Ook is hij sinds 2018 lid van de Raad van Toezicht van de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Cardiologie. Sinds januari 2021 is hij tevens A-opleider cardiologie in het LUMC.

Zijn wetenschappelijk onderzoek richt zich op de cardiologische behandelingsmethoden van atriumfibrilleren.
