Background and aims: Validated objective measures for balance in immune mediated neuropathies are lacking. In this study, we investigated the clinimetric properties of posturography using a force platform, a quantitative assessment of postural control. Methods: We assessed patients with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) and IgM-related polyneuropathy (IgM-PNP) using sway parameters (path, area and amplitude) measured at multiple time points. Validity was investigated by as... Abstract
The clinical teacher, Volume 22, Issue 3, 1 1 2025, Pages e70073 Faculty Development for the People: Workplace-Based Solutions for Busy Clinicians. Brode EC, Bernal JM, Cornes SB, Santhosh L, Rivera JA, Kulkarni SA, Mandal JR, Henry DM, Bartz KS, Van Schaik SM
Background: Across clinical learning environments (CLEs), learners often encounter supervising clinicians who do not self-identify as educators and, therefore, may not seek out faculty development to augment their teaching skills. To reach those faculty, we conducted a proof-of-concept project framed by Billet's theory on workplace learning, bringing tailored faculty development to the clinical workplace. Approach: We recruited 22 faculty champions from 8 clinical departments at our institu... Abstract

We report the formation of colchicine-Cu3(PO4)2 hybrid nanoflowers (Colc-NFs) with intrinsic catalytic and antimicrobial activities with and without hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). While the colchicine molecule, known as a secondary metabolite with anti-inflammatory properties, was used as an organic part of Colc-NFs, the Cu2+ ion acted as an inorganic part of Colc-NFs. The acetamide group in the colchicine structure may react with Cu2+ ions in phosphate-buffered saline to form Colc-NFs. The Colc-NFs... Abstract

Psychological research, Volume 89, Issue 3, 8 2 2025, Pages 98 Moral decision-making 'on the fly'. Kusev P, Martin R, van Schaik P, Teal J
Over a century of research has focused on the consistency and inconsistency of human moral decision preferences. We proposed and found that moral decision preferences are flexible and shift towards newly learned moral rules when their application leads to utilitarian choices. Hence, decision-makers' psychological concept of morality is continually under construction (on the fly); based on learning, informed by changes in moral rules and specific moral contexts. Accordingly, in two experimen... Abstract
